Productivity Tips

Email

As simple as these three recommendations are, you will be amazed at how much more focused you can be and what you can acomplish in a short amount of time if you implement these. Try these email tips for a week and then see if you have gotten more work accomplished is the same amount of time.

  • Don't check your email when you first begin your workday. Give yourself at least 30 minutes to organize your day and business projects, THEN check your email.  Taking a little time to know what you will be working on before you check your emails, allows you to priortize your incoming emails and get your work done.
  • Shift to checking your emails 3 times a day. If someone really needs to reach you right away they will call you.
  • Turn off your email alerts. Email alerts are very distracting when you are working. They pull your attention away from your project or task.
